Machines for insulation of underground headings are used for backfilling of excavated spaces during the supporting of underground
spaces as well as covering the underground headings with a mix of cement, sand and water for insulation from surrounding atmosphere and preventing mining fires, which are common in coal mines with underground exploatation in B&H. The machine Meyco Piccola is a machine without electrical equipment driven by compressed air. The mix of water and dry material, delivered in sacks, is made on the nozzle where the water is added. Distance from the machine can be up to max. 150m, which gives a large working radius in the mine. This is the first installation of such equipment in mines with underground exploitation B&H which allows for creation of underground headings in accordance with EU standards.
